Poplin shirt and
jersey nightgown
both with drawstring
and double collar
DESCRIPTION
Starting from the base of an early 20th century infants shirt, I scaled the pattern up 500%, keeping all the odd proportions of childrens clothing. I used drawstrings to fit this oversized shirt to an adult body and added other details from childrens clothing from the period. This includes the collars, ruffles, and scallop trims.
The baby shirt was then made a second time in a sleeveless, floor length, jersey version.
